Everything You Need to Know About I Tip Extensions

What is I Tip Extensions?

I-Tip extension, known also as shoelace tip, Flash Point or cold fusion, is a pre-tipped variety of hair extension that uses a cold method to connect the piece. This process involves a hook or loop, micro tube and fusing pliers. It can keep the hair extension in place without the use of heat or glue. Their applying method works well for those who do not want to apply heat to their natural hair.

Why Choose I Tip Extensions?

Easy to remove

The method of removal is very simple. It only takes a few minutes. All you need to do is to locate the first bead and use pliers to press on it. The bead will be opened up and the I-tip hair extension will simply slide down.

Suit for thin strands

Since I-tip extensions are very light and will not cause any pressure on your natural hair, they are the perfect choice for anyone with thinner hair. Girls who are afraid that hair extensions will hurt their hair can try this method. Because I-tip hair extensions will not harm thin hair and increase the overall density.

Hair movement naturally

When hair extensions consist of large wefts, the hair will lack natural movement, so it is more obvious that these strands are not real.

However, I-tip hair extensions are stranded by twisting, so the movements are smoother and everything looks perfect.

Add volume and color

With I-tip hair extensions, you can create any unique hairstyles you want and show your personality. I-tip hair extensions are made to match our natural hair to extensions perfectly because all of us have different hair types and hair textures. You can also combine different colors to make cool highlights because stick extensions come as individual strands.

How to Apply I Tip Extensions?

  1. Part the hair into horizontal sections. Grasp the top layer of hair and pull upward. Secure this section of hair with a clip, giving access to the strands underneath. The lower section should begin where you wish to install the extension.
  1. Insert the pulling needle or hook through the I-tip tube. The tube will sit on the lower portion of the needle, exposing the hooked end.
  1. Grab a section of the hair where the first extension will attach. The section should be small enough to fit through the tube effortlessly.
  1. Hook the needle onto the hair near the upper region of the strands, approximately one inch from the scalp.
  1. Pull the needle toward you while securing the tube with your fingers. This will slide the section of hair through the tube.
  1. Grasp the tube with your fingers, holding it in place approximately 1/2 to 1 inch from the scalp.
  1. Push the extension upward into the tube. Set the solid or tipped end into the bottom of the tube. Push the extension up toward the scalp. The tube now holds a section of natural hair and the extension at the same time.
  1. Use the hair extension pliers to flatten the bottom end of the tube, the end away from the scalp. This flattening process secures the extension, fusing it to the natural hair.
