What is Genius Weft?
The new Genius weft, also known as "hybrid weft", is an optimization of the previous hair weft design. It combines the best features of machine-sewn wefts and hand tied wefts. This means our genius weft is thin and unnoticeable, easy to layer without glue, and can be cut as needed. These wefts blend perfectly with your hair to easily add volume and length. 1) Because hybrid weft hair extensions are made by machine, they are stronger than hand-tied hair and will last longer with repeated use.
2) Hybrid hair extension wefts have no return hairs (aka "beards"). The hair that gets tangled(return hair) in hand tied weft strings can be very annoying in some ways, it can cause scalp itchiness in people with sensitive hair and may tangle with natural hair.
3) Hybrid hair extension wefts can be cut, while hand-tied hair extensions will fall apart when cut. If the stylist accidentally cuts the hand tied weft, the hand tied weft will be damaged and the hair will gradually fall out from the weft. How do hybrid weft extensions install?
Genius weft can be installed like previous hair weft extensions in 4 ways including sewing in weft, using micro beads, using clips and using glue.
When you choose to install with micro beads, hair wefts are sewn onto silicone bead tracks without the use of chemicals or adhesives. Machine bonding keeps the hair strong and intact, so when you're ready for a haircut, you don't have to worry about your hair falling apart. This ensures durability and long-lasting wear. How to take care genius weft?
Just like our other extension methods, proper maintenance is essential to keep your extension healthy and in normal use. Here are our 5 most important hair care tips to share with you:
Brushing: Brush the hair extensions brush upward from the ends 2-3 times a day. Gently brush through the weft, pulling outward to avoid loosening the thread.
Washing: Keep your extensions clean. We recommend that you wash your extensions about once or twice a week using a sulfate-free product. Do not wash hair extensions frequently. After washing your hair, it is best to let it air dry naturally and try not to blow dry it. Regularly care for your hair extensions with oil or conditioner, paying special attention to the care below the midsection.
Heating: Use a heat protectant before applying any heat tools to your luscious locks. Avoid salt and chlorinated water. Just like your natural hair, salt and chlorine can damage your hair extensions. No one has time for that!
Sleeping: Enjoy a completely luxurious sleep! Make your hair into a loose braid or ponytail while sleeping on a silk pillowcase to prevent it from drying out and becoming tangled. Make sure your hair is dry before your head hits the pillow!
