FAQs-K Tip Hair Extensions
What are K Tip extensions?
K Tip extensions (also called keratin tip or fusion extensions) are individual hair strands with a small keratin bond at the tip. They’re attached strand by strand to your natural hair for a seamless, long-lasting look.
How are K Tip extensions installed?
K Tips are typically installed using a heat fusion method, where a special tool gently melts the keratin tip to bond it to your natural hair. It creates a secure, natural-looking attachment that moves freely.
What’s the difference between K Tip and I Tip extensions?
K Tip extensions use heat to fuse the keratin tip to your hair, creating a strong, discreet bond.
I Tip extensions (micro links or micro beads) are attached strand by strand using small beads, without heat or glue.
Both offer natural results, but K Tips often last longer and are more secure.
Can I reuse K Tip extensions?
Generally, K Tip extensions are not reusable, because the keratin tips are trimmed and removed during the removal process. For fresh, secure results, new extensions are recommended each time.
How many grams or bundles do I need for a full head?
It depends on your desired volume and natural hair thickness. Typically, 100-150g is enough for a natural full look, while 200g is perfect for extra volume or very thick hair.
